Kyo Shirodaira was born on April 20, 1976, in Hiroshima. He graduated from the Department of Communication Design of Toho University of Art and Design in Tokyo. He became a photojournalist and moved to New York City in 1998. Shirodaira is well known for his portraits of young people through photographs and his fine art photo books
His works have been exhibited worldwide and published in many countries, including the United States and Japan. He has also produced a number of books, such as "Shirodaira Photos," "Shirodaira Book," "Shirodaira Kihafu," and "Shirodaira Q&A."
